Alice Lipscomb

Alice Lipscomb

Alice was born and raised in Georgia, accepted Christ when she was 10 years old, and was baptized in the lake at Ft. Yargo State Park. She will never forget her mom sneaking a few fishing line weights out of her father’s tackle box to sew into the hem of her dress. At the age of 23 Alice accepted a job in a local church where she began to realize her passion for meeting folks and hearing their story. She loves helping people realize where their story and God’s story connect. God has led Alice into a life of connecting people to church and developing pathways that encourage people to follow Jesus and serve others. She currently serves as Youth Pastor, Director of Adult Discipleship and Outreach Ministries and is grateful for a position that allows her to work, serve, care, and pray with people of all ages. She loves that her contact list ranges from ages 10 to 91-year- olds. You will find her on a phone conversation with an empty nester, receiving a text form a parent at the same time, while entering the coffee shop to meet with one of the youth. Alice has a heart for serving youth. Her desire is for youth to believe they are deeply loved by God and to deeply love God. She strives to influence each person to invest in those who are younger. Watching an older adult, a parent, college students and high school students loading on the bus to chaperone a middle school mission trip is not unusual. Ministry opportunities that allow generations to serve together are at the top of her list. Alice is excited to see what awesome things happen as God works through Outpost.
