According to Trina, she has the best job at the church. She gets to spend time with bright and curious children all day while being surrounded with amazing, creative teachers in the classroom. Trina has been the director of Jefferson First UMC preschool since 2014. She is committed to ensuring each child in her care is safe and loved but most of all develops a love of learning and knows that Jesus loves them. Together with a dedicated staff of ten teachers, the preschool has become a valued resource to the community. Trina has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She grew up in South Carolina and moved to Georgia after the birth of her first child in 2002. Prior to her employment at the preschool, Trina was a stay at home mother and child and family photographer. She enjoys sharing her gift of photography with the children at the preschool and at church.

Laurens, South Carolina
I have so many memories of wonderful days like my wedding day or birth of my four children. I think the experience that impacted me the most has been having my son with Down Syndrome. The experience opened my mind up to a new world of unconditional love and acceptance that reshaped my entire life.
WHEN I’M NOT AT CHURCH OR WITH MY FAMILY…
I enjoy sneaking off to lunch or dinner with friends (with four kids, I have to sneak). I have made some amazing friendships through the preschool and with the church staff. These people keep me laughing and keeps my soul happy.
I really don’t have one! After I have seen a movie, I don’t usually watch it again. Plus, I cry at most movies, even if they are comedies.
Seafood. Shrimp, scallops, crab legs… yum!
Absolutely! We have three dogs, a bearded dragon, a fish, a snake (the best pet ever), and a horse.
